Welcome to the world of The Beautiful Life (TBL)! This site represents a culmination of a number of events that led me to believe that we all appreciate beauty and are inspired by it. This blog is my way of expressing my thoughts on beauty– whether of people, places, or things.
Some of the people I meet are beautiful– inside and out. I developed a concept whereby I could bring together some of those people to engage each other in a fabulous setting with creative thoughts on many aspects of The Beautiful Life. The seminar series I created, Les Salons: A Wellness Series devoted to The Beautiful Life, brought the love of all things beautiful to the forefront of my mind. Also, I have a significant case of wanderlust. It has graciously enabled me to experience many forms of beauty, both here and abroad. These Salons are also peppered with treasures of world travel. But, this blog is not only about Les Salons. It offers, I hope, a place to learn, appreciate, and expand– all elements of living a beautiful life.
Nevertheless, despite the numerous sources of inspiration for beauty, this site is a work in progress. Thus, the posts will include a variety of themes, photos, text, links– anything that may be perceived as beautiful. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I will take some artistic license and post that which I believe to capture the senses. This brings to mind one of my favorite quotes:
“People often say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves.”
– Salma Hayek, actress
