There is so much I love about men.

Particularly charming are the ones who believe that chivalry is still alive and relevant.  Women, or at least I, appreciate a well-mannered man who, for example,  holds a door open with a smile for any woman, whether he is accompanied or solo.  His charm, charisma, confidence, and protective nature can woo even the romantically forlorn.  The human male is simply tantalizing, and personally, I fancy a fabulous man.  He who is a man of both thought and action, of candor and wit, of light and clarity is sure to catch my attention.   A man with soul and spirit is mesmerizing.  One who is strong in will but can be soft in his delivery speaks volumes of his character.  A  learned and curious man who is not too proud to continue learning is engaging.  Passion, playfulness, intelligence, affability, instinctiveness– these are but some of the traits of the international man of intrigue.  Happy are we to share in the joie de vivre of a man who loves fully, gives freely, and speaks openly.

My ode expresses gratitude to a few of the many men who have helped to shape my thoughts, my words, and my actions.  Here’s to those men who have the courage to speak their truth with eloquence, insight, and love!  Some of their words of wisdom follow below.
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.”
-Khalil Gibran

To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has already achieved, but at what he aspires to.
